Blue Ice Iris
The Blue Ice Iris belongs to the Iridaceae family and is native to South Africa. It grows to a height of 30 to 60 cm and is not cold-hardy, preferring warm, humid conditions. It requires loose, well-drained sandy loam soil and is suitable for warm-region flower borders, greenhouse pot cultivation, or as cut flowers. For pot cultivation, it is best planted in September to October.

- Inflorescence: Spike (a type of raceme with many sessile flowers along the long axis)
- Bloom Time: April to May. In warmer areas, it can be planted outdoors in November, covered for winter, and will bloom the following spring.
- Temperature Requirements: Not cold-hardy and avoids summer heat. Prefers warm, humid conditions.

Morphological Characteristics:

Planting and Care:
- Soil and Watering: Similar to other irises. Not drought-tolerant. In high summer temperatures, the leaves may wither and the plant will enter dormancy; keep it dry. Protect from frost in winter. Best planting time is October to November for spring or early summer blooming.
