Showy, long-lived flowers.
Splendid along the waterfront and absolutely stunning in mass plantings, turtleheads are native wildflowers whose beauty and adaptability make them a favourite among gardeners. Large, hooded, deep pink flowers emerge in late summer on stems that rise above bushy mounds of green, lance-shaped foliage. These showy and long-lived blooms are attractive to pollinators and excellent for cutting. Performs best in a moist or wet site, such as a water garden, but acclimates well to average soil conditions.
