🧑🌾Planting method
🏵️Plant seeds in late winter or early spring. Before sowing the seeds in the pot, make sure there are holes in the bottom of the pot. This step can keep the seeds alive or prevent the seedlings from rotting due to improper drainage. You can place some pumice, perlite, or gravel at the bottom of the pot and top it with soil to improve drainage and aeration.
🏵️ After placing the soil, you can start sowing. Sow two or more seeds in each pot, depending on your preference and, of course, the type of petunias. Generally speaking, large-flowered plants that need extra space to expand can leave their seeds on the surface rather than burying them deep in the soil.
🏵️ During the initial stages of plant growth, the soil needs to be continuously moist, but not soggy, so that the seeds can germinate. Be careful not to over-irrigate to avoid rot.
🏵️Seeds need light to germinate, so you can sow them in a sunny place. About 2-3 weeks after sowing, some small plants will appear.
🧑🌾Climate requirements
Requires constant access to sunlight for normal growth (6-8 hours per day). Shade generally causes plants to flower less. The flowers that grow when there is little sunlight are of poor quality. For the most part, morning glories prefer warm and moderately dry climates, sunny summers. Rain can damage flowers. The average temperature that morning glories prefer is 65℉-75℉ (17-23℃). But morning glories can tolerate temperature differences as high as 95℉ (35℃) and close to 32℉ (0℃).
🧑🌾Soil requirements
Full sun, well-drained soil with a slightly acidic pH (6-7).
